This directory contains the Sept. 5, 2000 GenBank freeze ordered and oriented according to the corresponding fingerprint map and genome layout from Wash U taking into account overlap between fragments and bridging mRNA, EST, and plasmid and BAC end pairs. There is one directory for each chromosome, plus the directory "UL" for clone layouts which have not been assigned to a chromosome yet, and "NA" for clones which have not been grouped into contigs by the fingerprint map. There is a subdirectory for each fingerprint contig, and inside this subdirectory the sequence file (in Fasta (.fa) format) and a description of how the sequence file was assembled (in .agp format). There is a .fa and a .agp file representing the entire chromosome rather than a series of contig subdirectories. Chromosomes 21 and 22 are finished. The data presented here was obtained from NCBI rather than assembled at UCSC.
