This directory contains the preliminary assembly of the Oct. 7, 2000 Genbank freeze
posted on our public site on November 10, 2000. This assembly was updated January 9
2001, and that final assembly of the October freeze is currently posted at 
http://genome.ucsc.edu. The preliminary version here is only for archival purposes.
This directory includes the following files:

contigFa.zip - The working draft sequence one file per
    fingerprint contig (clone layout) in Fasta format.  Unpacks
    with one directory for each chromosome and one subdirectory for each 
    fingerprint contig.
contigAgp.zip - Description of how the working draft was generated from
    fragments at a clone layout level. See 
    http://genome.ucsc.edu/goldenPath/datorg.html
chromFa.zip and chromAgp.zip - similar, but they unpack to one file per
    chromosome.
