The Oct. 2003 yeast (Saccharomyces cerevisiae) genome assembly is based on sequence dated 1 Oct. 2003 in the Saccharomyces Genome Database (SGD).

Sample position queries

A genome position can be specified by the name of a gene or an ORF, the accession number of an mRNA or EST, a chromosomal range, or a keyword from a SGD gene description or GenBank mRNA description. The following list provides examples of valid position queries for the yeast genome. See the User's Guide for more information.

Use this last format for author queries. Although GenBank requires the search format Roeder GS, internally it uses the format Roeder,G.S..


Assembly details

This sequence, open reading frame (ORF), and gene annotations were downloaded from the site http://www.yeastgenome.org/download-data/sequence. The S288C strain was used in this sequencing project.
